I’m Carole Mac.
Hospitality Specialist. Producer. Journalist. Sommelier. Author & Speaker.
Thanks for coming to my website! My life’s mission is to share joy, inspiration, and empowerment through food and wine.
I spend my days as a hospitality specialist with a mission to help restaurants save time and money through technology. The rest of the time, I’m a serial entrepreneur with my hands in many creative projects (below).
After losing my son TJ, I went on a journey to heal myself through food. It worked! So I went on a mission to help others, and made a documentary about it called FOOD BLISS (trailer here). I’m also Executive Producer of a series featuring NCAA Women’s Gymnastics (a nod to my college days).
I’ve been lucky to produce and host over 10 series and 250 episodes featuring the world’s top chefs and sommeliers (HERE). My series Somm School Insider appears on ROKU globally and “makes a splash in the wine world” according to USA TODAY.
I’ve also been the Executive Producer of Wine4Food.com, Editorial Director of the James Beard award-winning The Rosengarten Report, and columnist for many publications including Food Republic and Edible Communities. My food film Oh My Rødgrød! was selected to appear in the New York City, Chicago, and Nova Scotia Food Film Festivals.
I’m most proud of my bestselling children’s book The Gift of the Ladybug, a bibliotherapy book used by doctors and therapists to help families accept difficult diagnoses. I’ve raised $150K for kids with critical illnesses and created the National “Gift of the Ladybug” Day on January 28 (TJ’s birthday). Purchase books to benefit kids HERE.
I’ve delivered Keynote speeches on resilience, empowerment, joy, and finding peace to corporations, universities, and women’s groups across the country. You can find me on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, MSN, YAHOO, USA TODAY, WOMAN’S DAY, and GLAMOUR.
I hope to meet you through the screen, on a stage or page, or in real life! In the meantime, come say “hi” on Instagram @carole.mac.
